Stephanie was born and raised in Los Angeles, where she first fell in love with storytelling while watching her everyday surroundings transform into film sets.

Her artistic journey began in fine arts through painting and drawing, eventually leading her to study product design at Otis College of Art and Design, where she deepened her understanding of form, function, and the visual language of design. But it was the world of theater, and its shifting sets and seamless transformations, that ultimately drew her behind the curtain toward scenic design. She earned her BA in Theater with an emphasis in Scenic Design from UCLA, where she discovered the emotional power of shaping space through narrative. Through its collaborative environment across theater and film, she was introduced to the world of filmmaking.

She has always been drawn to the handmade. As a child, she was captivated by stop-motion animation and the idea that entire worlds could be built by hand, then animated one frame at a time. Early in her career, she was fortunate to have the opportunity to collaborate on stop-motion projects, an experience that deepened that fascination and shaped the way she approaches her work today: with care, detail, and intention.

Over the years, she has collaborated with artists, designers, and storytellers across film and television, shaping a practice rooted in world-building, problem-solving, and thoughtful collaboration. Now working as an assistant art director in film and television, she finds meaning in both the creative and unseen aspects of the process, the quiet problem-solving, the collaboration, and the teamwork that bring designs off the page into fully realized environments.

She is a proud member of IATSE Local 800 and remains driven by the process of bringing stories to life. As she continues to grow in her field, she remains excited about the future of storytelling and honored to help shape it, one frame at a time.
